DevOps Engineer

Location: Lagos 

Job Type: Full-time

Reports To: Managing Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes. In this role, you will work closely with Software Development, QA, and IT teams to automate workflows, enhance system performance, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud

Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure.

Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization.

Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.

CI/CD & Automation

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.

Improve release management processes for faster, reliable deployments.

Support Git version control and branching strategies.

System Reliability & Monitoring

Monitor production systems and applications to maximize uptime.

Configure and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.

Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.

Implement proactive measures to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

Security & Compliance

Implement cloud infrastructure security best practices.

Manage identity and access management (IAM).

Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.

Support security audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities.

Collaboration

Partner with developers to optimize deployments and application performance.

Support engineering teams with deployment and infrastructure troubleshooting.

Maintain infrastructure documentation and operational procedures.

Evaluate and recommend new DevOps tools and technologies.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar role.

Experience managing production cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Healthcare technology or other regulated industry experience is an advantage.

Networking fundamentals (DNS, Load Balancing)
